Personal
By using social themes such as gender, representation and race, Saelee touches various overlapping themes and strategies. With a subtle minimalistic approach, she seduces the viewer into a world of meaningful experiences that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life. The inherent visual seductiveness, along with the conciseness of her designs, further complicates the reception of their manifold layers of meaning.

A Letter to Beyoncé
This video was created as a final project in my undergrad Winter 2020 for Intro to Cultural Studies as a Philosophical Tantrum at UWB, where I am reflecting back on what intersectionality means to me and the world around me. It touches on my own personal experience as an Asian-American woman growing up in the heart of Seattle.
home
This was a video assignment I created during my masters program for MD 620: Media Design Studio in Fall 2022. I moved across the country and was very homesick so this is a love letter to my friends, family and beautiful city of Seattle.
A Guide To Intersectional Feminism
This is the zine I designed as a guide on intersectional feminism for Asian Americans.
